Golden Jubilee Royal Goldsmith College was established following an initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, with the main aim of preparing new young Thai craftsmen for preserving and transmitting to the ancient Thai art of gold jewelry collection togerther with maintaining and creating more traditional pieces pf national art and cultural heritage including particulary training students as high skilled goldsmith and jewelry maker.

          The college was established by the Ministry of Education on May 4th,1995 with the royal permission at Kreung Sung building, Teng building (servants' accommodation)and antique building where are at the back of The Grand Palace for educational management. In 2002, the new campus was expanded to Salaya Campus at Buddhamonthon District, Nakorn Pathom Province.
